Ukulele bands tune up for Startforth concert

TUNING UP: The D'Ukes of Scarth

A JAMBOREE bringing together the finest collection of ukulele groups Teesdale has to offer will take place on Saturday, August 24, from 6pm until 11pm at the Scarth Hall in Staindrop.

The evening, which promises music and laughter, will bring together seven different ukulele groups including the ever popular D’Ukes of Scarth.

Stockton to Darlington, AgeUk Ukulele Group, Acorns Ukulele, Mor-Ukes, Yoredale Strummers and Ukulele Express will also be taking to the stage.

Tickets for the event are £4, available from the Scarth Hall or Staindrop Post Office. The bar will be open and food will be also be available.
