Keep fit with Katey – dale martial arts expert launches free online sessions

VIRTUAL GYM: Martial arts expert Katey Wallace is offering online sessions during the lockdown

A DALE martial arts club is offering free online classes to help people stay fit during the current lockdown.
The sessions are the brainchild of Katey Wallace, who runs the Chungdokwan Taekwondo and Martial Arts Club, based at the Hub, Barnard Castle.
Ms Wallace said: “The lessons are on free and streamed live on Facebook.”
They are also aimed at all ages as the online sessions include:
Martial arts (suitable for ages 11 to 70-plus)
Over 50s martial arts class
Little Kickers Class
Stretching Class
Core and fitness class
To take part, people have to join a private Facebook group by sending Ms Wallace the email address connected to their Facebook account.
“I’ll send you an invite. This will appear in your notifications and once you accept you’ll be able to stream our lessons live,” she said.
Ms Wallace said since launching the sessions, more than 100 people had asked to join the group.
