Teesdale runners shine at Darlington 10k

Teesdale Athletic Club runners were among those taking part in the Darlington 10k on Sunday, August 2.

Marc Scott, running for Darlington Harriers, won the 10K in a blistering 29 minutes and 10 seconds.

Teesdale Athletic Club was represented across the events, with Tommy Croom finishing sixth out of 204 runners in the Junior 3k in a time of 10 minutes 36 seconds.

In the 10K, Jack Wheeler, from Cockfield, completed the course in 37:38, while James W finished in 37:40 to take 50th place in the V50 category.

James Emmerson recorded 37:51, finishing 54th overall, with Joe completing the race in 42:13 for 120th place.

Ellie was the club’s leading female finisher in 46:16, taking 21st place out of 575 runners.

Carrie finished in 55:58, placing 35th in the V40 category, while Erica recorded 56:49.

Jane crossed the line in 57:20 to finish fourth in the V65 category, while Alan also claimed fourth place in the V75 category with a time of 58:47.

Francesca and Louise both recorded 1:06, with Louise finishing 67th in the V45 category.

Hillary completed the course in 1:17, taking 102nd place in the V45 category, while Sophie finished in 1:33.

The club’s training sessions take place every Tuesday and Thursday, meeting at the Post Office in Barnard Castle at 6pm.
