REALITY TV star Scarlett Moffatt has landed a role as a BBC correspondent for the royal wedding.
The 27-year-old, who lives in Toft Hill, will be reporting live from the grounds of Windsor Castle as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchange their vows at St George’s Chapel on Saturday, May 19.
Ms Moffatt has been given the role by BBC Radio 1 and will provide hourly updates for the radio station’s daytime shows. Revealing her role in the big day on social media, she wrote: “So excited to announce I’ll be an accredited correspondent for the royal wedding. To say I was excited would be an understatement.”
She will join the likes of Chris Evans, Alan Carr, Mel Sykes and Zoe Ball who will all be providing BBC radio coverage of the big day. Ms Moffatt rose to fame when she appeared on MTV’s Beauty School Cop Out and then later on Channel 4’s Gogglebox with her family.
She was crowned the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here queen of the jungle in 2016.
Earlier this year she co-hosted Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. She has also released her own fitness DVD and two books.
