Teesdale Mercury Shop ceases trading

The Teesdale Mercury Shop, in Market Place, Barnard Castle, ceased trading on short notice on Christmas Eve.

The Teesdale Mercury newspaper will continue to be published, with the first issue of the new year out on Friday, January 3.

The Mercury is now based at Unit 15C on Harmire Enterprise Park, Barnard Castle.

There is currently no phone system available, so anyone wishing to contact the paper, should email [email protected].

Submissions of copy or events for the what’s on guide in this week’s paper should reach up by noon tomorrow (New Year’s Eve) at the latest.

If anyone wishes to speak to a reporter, the editor or has an advertising query, please email [email protected] and leave your telephone number if you wish us to call you back.
