Teesdale Mercury calendar celebrates beauty of dale and talents of readers

WINTERY SCENE: High Force in winter

SOME of the best photographs of the dale have been included in the Mercury’s 2021 calendar which is now on sale.
The annual calendar is the pick of the weekly readers’ photographs that are submitted for publication and includes images by Martin Rogers, James Wood, Karen Ackers, Liam Dobinson, Richard Laidler, Peter Normanton, Val Kearon, Michael Hodgson and George Green.
Mercury shop manager Leanne Allinson said: “It is another great calendar by local photographers and readers which cover all four seasons.
“I love the cover – The Bowes Museum always captures a lovely picture.”
Photos reflecting the seasons include the summer solstice over Low Force and a wintry High Force.
The calendar costs £5.50 from the Mercury Shop, or for £7 it can be posted to any destination in the UK.
