Property firm Jonathan Wallis launches estate agency
Jonathan Wallis is expanding its property services with the launch of a dedicated estate agency.
The move brings together decades of surveying expertise with experienced residential sales and lettings professionals.
The new venture is set to officially launch early next month and will operate from the firm’s established offices at The Bank, Barnard Castle.
The business has built a strong reputation for providing independent, professional advice.
Victoria Hartley, chartered surveyor at Jonathan Wallis, said the move was a natural progression for the business.
“Our surveying background gives us the knowledge and experience to advise clients on every type of property, whether it’s a two-bedroom terraced house in the centre of town or a substantial rural estate.
“That wider expertise means we can help clients navigate more complex issues and provide informed advice throughout the letting or buying and selling process.”
Victoria joined Jonathan Wallis three years ago.
While she supports the firm’s professional surveying services, her background in estate agency has helped shape the new business alongside colleague Joanna Herbert, who also brings nine years of residential estate agency experience.
Joanna said Barnard Castle was the ideal location for the new service.
“Barnard Castle is a fantastic property market because it’s incredibly varied.
“We have everything from new-build developments and Victorian terraces to listed cottages, converted mills and commercial farms.
“There’s genuinely something for everyone, and it’s a wonderful area for people who want to enjoy rural life while remaining well connected to larger towns and cities.”
The estate agency aims to offer a traditional, client-focused approach, offering face-to-face service and honest, professional advice at a time when many property businesses have become increasingly automated.
“We want to bring back the personal service that people value,” said Joanna.
“When you call us, you’ll speak to a real person.
“Clients can come into the office, sit down with us, have a cup of tea and discuss their options.
“We believe trust, honesty and proper property advice should be at the heart of estate agency.”
The decision to expand into residential sales follows growing demand from existing clients, many of whom had already approached the firm for advice on selling their properties.
Jonathan Wallis will continue to provide its established range of professional surveying and rural property services alongside the new estate agency, offering clients a seamless service under one trusted local brand.
