HEALTH officials have withdrawn two consultations relating to to Bishop Auckland hospital with immediate effect it was announced today (Friday, January 31).
The move by health officials has been hailed as a victory for campaigners, who have been lobbying against the proposed changes which would have seen the number of beds on ward six at Bishop Auckland reduced and stroke rehabilitation patients having to travel to the University Hospital of North Durham for treatment.
