Appeal to find Bazil, the missing peacock

GONE MISSING: Bazil

THE owners of a timid Peacock called Bazil are appealing for help after he wandered away from his Scargill home on Friday, January 10.

There have been several reported sightings over the weekend since owner Adele Travis-Jones appealed for help on social media.

She said: “He’s very tame, but quite timid. We just want him home and his peahen is missing him too. We are located near Scargill, but he could have gone in any direction.”

Peacocks are capable or flying despite their large size, but flights are usually limited to short distances.

Several people commented they had heard peacock screams in Whorlton and Greta Bridge, but Ms Travis-Jones has yet to locate him.
