Jenny brings 60th birthday tour to Barnard Castle

BIRTHDAY BASH: Comedian Jenny Eclair

TOP comedian Jenny Eclair is heading to the dale as part of a 60-date tour to celebrate her 60th birthday.
She comes to The Witham, Barnard Castle, on Friday, May 21 next year.
Reaching such a landmark, she has decided to confront this decade of with a show that will cover everything from filling out online forms and having to scroll down endlessly for her date of birth to whether it’s a legal requirement to buy Nordic walking poles.
Along with live stand-up shows, the 2000s saw her become a regular face on television. She developed and appeared in Grumpy Old Women from 2004 to 2007, and become a longstanding presenter on Loose Women.
In addition, she has built a literary reputation across the release of six books, most recently the Sunday Times bestseller Older And Wider – A Survivor’s Guide To The Menopause.
Peter Dixon, of Funny Way To Be Comedy, said: “Jenny’s previous two shows in Barnard Castle for us have both been sell-outs and a great success.
“On the back of great success with her latest book release, this show promises to even top her previous visits,” he added.
Tickets for the show are available from www.funny waytobe.com and the Witham Box Office on 01833 631107, priced £20. The show is suitable for anyone aged 14-plus, although anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult.
