NORTH East actor and comedian Lee Kyle is on a national tour and stops off at The Old Well Inn, Barnard Castle on Monday, March 26.
After receiving favourable reviews at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe, he decided to book a 30-plus date as an attempt to answer the question: “What happens if you do a tour while not actually being famous?”
As if that wasn't enough, he is ending the tour in June with a gig in a 400 seat theatre in his home town of South Shields.
Throughout the tour, he’s also recording a documentary as he goes.
Promoter Peter Dixon, of Funny Way To Be Comedy Club, said about the show, “He’s good. He’s done a bit of telly and radio but nothing you’ll have seen, which is a good thing really or the whole point of the tour won’t have made sense.
“I’ve known Lee for many years and he’s appeared for us on several occasions with his children’s show and supporting other acts.
“Last year he even did a preview of his Edinburgh show in Barnard Castle. We are delighted to welcome him for what is his first official tour.”
Entry is by voluntary contribution but £5 paid in advance online at www.funnywaytobe .com guarantees a seat in the audience.
The audience is restricted to 16-plus with anyone under 18 needing to be accompanied by an adult.
