THE visitors deserved their three points after dominating much of the play on a cold, wet afternoon at the Wanted Stadium.

After a goalless first half, Michael Charlton gave Sunderland RCA the lead on 49 minutes when West failed to clear from a corner.

The lead was doubled on 78 minutes when Colin Larkin finished well after a break down the left and the win was confirmed five minutes later when Nathan O’Neil slotted home the rebound after Shane Bland’s save in the West goal.

West’s best chances came late on when Nathan Fisher forced a good save out of RCA keeper Scott Pocklington and Amar Purewal, on as a sub, hit the post after a determined run.
