Raby Castle CC’s future stars complete training

SUPER STARS: Raby Castle CC's All Stars activator Steve Caygill is pictured with some of the young players who completed the junior training scheme this season and received their medals

Junior cricket
ON a cool and eventually wet Sunday morning, Raby Castle CC’s 2020 All Stars completed their final session.
Raby was the only club in the Teesdale area to participate in the All Stars programme this year, which was delayed due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
Normally the eight-week programme starts in May and finishes in July but this year’s action didn’t start until the second week in August and took place on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings. Nevertheless with numbers restricted, regular hand sanitising and other social distancing measures in place, it was yet another tremendous success with 15 children attending the sessions.
All Stars activator Steve Caygill Steve thanked Louise Poole and Scott Hedley who had helped him run the programme this year as well as the parents for their continued support of the cricket club and the children for being such active participants.
