A LIGHT drizzle did nothing to dampen the fun and festivities of Mickleton’s annual village carnival.
Children braved the rain to show off their fantastic costumes in the fancy dress parade, with the judges impressed by, among others, a milkshake-soaked Nigel Farage, a pair of pirates, Spiderman and a shepherd with a pair of lambs.
After the parade, carnival goers enjoyed a host of traditional games, including a coconut shy, ten-pin bowling and garden darts.
