This week’s paper is in the shops now

P1

This week’s paper, which includes a free lifestyle magazine, is out today and here’s the news:

A tourism boom in Teesdale has led to a surge in enquiries from residents and businesses in the area about providing accommodation for visitors. We have a special report revealing all the pre-planning application talks at Durham County Council including a major tourism revamp at High Force, campsites/holiday accommodation across the dale and even talks on converting a former “wartime” observation post into a holiday let. There have also been discussions about building nearly 30 homes in one dale village.

Our report also details how Barnard Castle’s high street is booming with the town’s castle seeing more tourists than ever before.
