Santa drops in on Startforth’s Christmas party

MAN IN RED: Nancy Edwards

YOUNGSTERS in Startforth enjoyed an early visit from Father Christmas when they attended a festive party organised by the parish council.
The party, at the village’s community centre, couldn’t be held last year due to Covid-19 restrictions.
However, this year the parish council, which put on the free entertainment, decided they didn’t want the children to miss out.
Once again Teesdale DJ Andrew Nicholson mixed the decks, getting the children on their feet before the afternoon’s special guest arrived, laden with a present for each of the youngsters present.
