YOUNGSTERS were undeterred by rain when they competed in their annual sports day at Bowes.
Rather than cancel the event they donned their wellies and waterproofs and carried on. Despite the rain there was a good turnout at Bowes sports day, held at Guide Post Corner, on the edge of the village. Due to the weather, prizes were handed out at the village hall, where the barbecue was also held.
