Friends come up with purr-fect present for birthday boy Dylan

GOOD DEED: Dylan Peacock asked for cat food donations instead of presents for his birthday

A KIND hearted youngster with a lifelong love of felines asked for cat food donations instead of presents when he celebrated his sixth birthday last week.
Dylan Peacock, from Startforth, has loved cats since he was a baby. Unfortunately, the six-year-old, who is in year one at Green Lane Primary School, is unable to have one of his own due to dad Carl’s allergies.
Despite this, he asked friends to bring cat food donations instead of presents when he celebrated turning six at a birthday bash at the village’s community centre.
Mum Hanora said: “Dylan asked all his friends to bring cat food donations for Ark on the Edge which he then proudly delivered on
Monday.
“He was so happy delivered the cat food and hasn’t stopped talking about it.
“We often consider risking the allergies and getting a cat, but it would just be too sad if we weren’t able to keep it.”
