Cash taken after Barnard Castle pub is broken into

RAID: The Coach and Horses

CASH was taken during a burglary at the Coach and Horses pub, in Barnard Castle, last week.

Police believe the break-in took place between Sunday, April 19 and Tuesday, April 21.

Insp Ed Turner, of Barnard Castle’s neighbourhood police team, said: “The licensee returned to the pub at about 1pm on April 21 to find there had been a forced entry.”

He added the burglars gained entry through a sash window and took cash from gaming machines.

Insp Turner asked anyone who saw anything suspicious over the period to ring police on the non-emergency number 101.
