Bowes pupils’ celebrations hit right note

PERFECT PRESENTS: Super salesmen Kian

MELODIC children’s voices filled St Giles’ Church, in Bowes, as the school pupils gathered to celebrate their annual carol service and Christmas fair.

Youngsters from Bowes Hutchinson’s Primary School impressed during the service with their skills on the recorder and reciting Christmas poetry.

The service was led by retired vicar Revd Peter Fisher and featured Christmas carols such as Away In a Manager, Little Donkey, It Was On A Starry Night and Go Tell It On The Mountain.

After the service parents and friends were invited back to the school for a Christmas fair where they could buy festive treats and win prizes by taking part in games presented by the children.
