READ ALL ABOUT IT: A bus shelter in Summer -house has become the place for book worms

SINCE the start of lockdown, the bus shelter in Summerhouse has been offering more than a place to wait for a bus after residents came together to form a book exchange.
Barbara Braithwaite, chairwoman of the village hall committee, said residents have been placing books in the shelter to ensure there was plenty to read while the libraries and shops were closed.
She added: “We’ve got such an eclectic mix of books and it’s lovely to see so many people taking part.”
There are all manner of books available for swap from crime thrillers to gardening manuals. Residents are encouraged to drop books off and pick out others to read.
Ms Braithwaite said: “We have really come together as a community and I’ve ended up reading some books I wouldn’t normally pick out for myself.”
