Alan Carr set for gig at The Witham

COMEDY fans who missed out on tickets to Alan Carr’s sell-out shows in the region next year can get a sneak peek of his new material right here in Barnard Castle.

Carr is testing material for his 2027 Have I Said Too Much? tour at The Witham on November 11. This will be his sixth national stand-up tour following his Regional Trinket show in 2021-23.

The popular stand-up, who won The Celebrity Traitors last year, saw tickets for next year’s UK tour sell fast, with performances in York, Carlisle, Leeds, Stockton and Newcastle sold out more than a year in advance.

So it’s something of a coup for local promoter Funny Way to Be to bring Carr to Barney.

Carr has been a TV regular since 2005 and rose to fame as host of comedy chat show Alan Carr: Chatty Man from 2009-2017. More recently, he has written and starred in the sitcom Changing Ends, inspired by his childhood in Northampton as the son of football manager and later Newcastle Utd chief scout Graham Carr.

Tickets are currently on sale to Funny Way to Be newsletter subscribers and if there are any left, will go on general sale at a later date. For more details, visit funnywaytobe.co.uk or follow Funny Way to Be on Facebook.
