A66 eastbound reopened after caravan overturns

A66 eastbound is currently closed between Bowes and Brough

A section of the A66 eastbound has reopened after a caravan overturned near Stainmore Cafe.

Cumbria Police were called to the scene this morning at 10.53am. The carriageway was closed between the A685 Brough and the A67 Bowes.

The road was blocked for just over two hours to allow for recovery. It was reopened at around 1.50pm.
