TWENTY-four players were drawn into two groups for this round-robin competition played over five games with ten points available.
Winning group one with ten points was Angus Dowson and also with ten points, Tony Hudspeth won through from group two.
The final had the makings of a close affair and so it proved with the scores locked at 3-3 after the allotted four ends. In the extra end it was Tony who sneaked the one shot to give him the title.
