Barnard Castle Juniors
JUNIOR cricket at Barney is now in full swing and the club is delighted to welcome new coaches.
The U13s, coached by Jonathan Milroy, were in action at Darlington on Friday. The U11s, with Ian Rutherford coaching, had a match against Newton Aycliffe on Sunday which they lost by a net score of 38 runs.
The U15s, looked after by Piers Burgess, had their match at Newton Aycliffe cut short by rain but Johnny Burgess took two wickets and was 18no when it was called off.
The junior part of this short season is extremely important to the club and the advent of new coaches to help dozens of keen youngsters will be crucial both to their interest and development.
