Jane breaks two hours in half marathon run

GOOD RUN: Jane Gill completed the Gateshead half marathon in 1.59hrs

ON Sunday, May 1, Jane Gill took part in the Gateshead half marathon. With good running conditions the two-lap race, with a height elevation of 1,300ft, took in the famous landmarks of the Millennium Bridge, Sage Gateshead, Tyne Bridge and the Swing Bridge.

The race started and finished in Gateshead Stadium. Jane was first back in her age category achieving a time of 1.59.00.

Teesdale AC enjoyed two training sessions last week, a hill training session running the length of Gypsy Lane on Tuesday, and a speed session running laps around the perimeter of The Bowes Museum. Training sessions vary each week and details can be found on the website, including how to join the club, at teesdaleac.com.
