Indoor nets for Barningham CC as new captain takes over

BARNINGHAM CC is warming up for the new Darlington and District season with indoor practice at Teesdale Leisure Centre.

Two sessions have been organised – Friday, April 6, and Friday, April 13, from 7pm to 9pm.

Wicketkeeper Dan Swires has been appointed first team captain for this year’s A division campaign, and the club also puts out a second XI in the district league’s B division.

The club also enters a number of 20-over midweek cup competitions.

New players will be made welcome -“‚just turn up to one of the net sessions or contact Dan Swires on 07747 302412.

The season begins on Saturday, April 21, with the first team playing at home to Haughton.

The second team will travel to Great Burden to take on Haughton II.

Meanwhile, the club has also organised a coffee morning in aid of the pavilion renovation fund.

It takes place at Newsham Village Hall on Friday, April 27, 10.30am to noon.

There will be a raffle and cake stall. For details, contact Angela on 01833 621346.
