Another top three slide for Teesdale sledder

DALE slider Alan Toward was back in action as part of the GB four-man bobsleigh team piloted by Brad Hall in Lake Placid, USA, at the weekend.

They were competing in races five and six of the North American Cup.

In the first race, Canadian Chris Spring with his push crew of Darren Lundrigan, Cyrus Gray and Gabriel Chiasson clocked the best time.

GB’s other four-man team led by Lamin Deen with Adam Hames, John Baines and Ryan Letts finished second, just 0.01 seconds ahead of teammates Brad Hall, Alan Toward, Nick Gleeson and Ben Simons.

In the second race, US pilot Hunter Church with Sam Moeller, Muhammed-Ray Jamil and Christopher Walsh came first, followed by the crews of Chris Spring, just 0.01 seconds behind, and Lamin Deen. Brad Hall’s team finished fourth in the race.

The final two North American Cup races take place in Calgary, Canada, from January 10 to 13. In the meantime, bobsleigh action moves to Europe for the Europa Cup.
