A £15,000 upgrade to Barnard Castle Football Club’s facilities at Tens Field has been completed.
Cash from Teesdale Action Partnership as well as county councillors for Barnard Castle saw a new car park installed next to the club house to make it more accessible for players and fans alike.
The grounds are also looking in fine nick thanks to the efforts of groundsman and former manager Geoff Thwaites along with volunteer gardener Robert Furness who has planted an array of flowers to beautify the borders.
This has not only been appreciated by the club’s fans and supporters, but also by neighbours and walkers who enjoy using the footpaths passing alongside the club.
