CHILDREN at a dale school have stepped back in time for their major project this term.
Youngsters at Bowes Hutchinson’s Primary are learning all about the Vikings.
To kick-start the topic, a full day of forest school activities saw the children head outdoors.
They used clay to write out their names using Viking runes.
They also built Viking houses using natural materials, boats and even made Viking soup.
All the children enjoyed their day as it made their learning about the Vikings fun, enjoyable and involving.
