Young and old enjoy a royal knees-up

LOVELY DAY: Party-goers enjoyed a jubilee tea complete with entertainment at Middleton-in-Teesdale Primary School

MIDDLETON-in-Teesdale residents, young and old, came together on Friday, June 3, for a celebratory afternoon tea at the village’s primary school, just one of the activities organised by the village’s festival committee to mark the Queen’s platinum jubilee.

Musical entertainment was provided by Middleton and Teesdale Silver Band, who also performed the national anthem.

There were fun sports for both children and adults, a royal selfie photo booth as well as a Pimms and strawberry bar.

Festivities transferred to the village’s sports and social club later in the afternoon with a jubilee party night.
