THE Friends of Richardson Hospital have helped out yet again with an important donation.
Teesdale’s district nursing team, based at the hospital, say they are delighted with their new pharmacy refrigerator, which was urgently needed to hold swabs and vaccines for the current and anticipated extra demand as a consequence of the Covid-19 virus.
The LabCold fridge cost £860 and will reduce potential contact between community and ward teams as they will no longer need to share the ward’s pharmacy fridge space.
British company Bristol Maid was able to manufacture the fridge quickly so it could be put into immediate use.
