Turkey and all the trimmings as older folk enjoy free festive treat

VILLAGE SPIRIT: Kathleen Kirby

OLDER people in Evenwood enjoyed a free festive lunch in the run up to Christmas thanks to the community centre.
Turkey and all the trimmings were on the menu on Monday afternoon at the village’s Randolph Community Centre.
Centre manager John Bogle, along with help from Richie Lowmass and Richard Vart, began preparations for the feast on Sunday afternoon before arriving bright and early on the day to complete the spread.
The entire feast, complete with complimentary chocolate selection boxes, was sponsored by the centre.
