Treachery in Teesdale as kids wow the crowds

SHOW STOPPERS: Cotherstone School's summer production

PUPILS at Cotherstone School wowed audiences when they staged two outdoor performances of the musical, Treachery at Traitor’s Quay.

Set in the Second World War, it tells the tale of the five siblings evacuated to the countryside and their hunt for a German spy amid a host of characters ranging from a retired sea captain, surly gamekeeper, and air-raid wardens to a dishevelled Home Huard.

The tale was filled with songs and intrigue as the five Dawson children, played by Nathan Dominick, Harriet Whitburn, Bill Mutton, Robyn Hall and Emily Lamb try to expose their treacherous teacher played by Chad Hall.

As well as a matinee performance, residents were also invited to an evening show.
