WOODLAND kicked off a four-day celebration of the Queen’s platinum jubilee with a toddlers afternoon tea at the village hall on Thursday.
Children and their families tucked into a sumptuous meal while playing and making toilet-roll soldiers for their model castles.
Later that evening a piper played in the lighting of a village beacon.
On Friday people from all over the dale came together to take part in a fun walk, run and ride from the Edge Hotel and around the Woodland triangle, which was followed by a tea dance at the village hall.
Children enjoyed sports at the school on Saturday, as well as a pet show on the village green. The festivities culminated with a street party at the village hall on Sunday
