Toddler group kicks off Woodland’s four day fun celebration

TODDLER GROUP: Seb

WOODLAND kicked off a four-day celebration of the Queen’s platinum jubilee with a toddlers afternoon tea at the village hall on Thursday.

Children and their families tucked into a sumptuous meal while playing and making toilet-roll soldiers for their model castles.

Later that evening a piper played in the lighting of a village beacon.

On Friday people from all over the dale came together to take part in a fun walk, run and ride from the Edge Hotel and around the Woodland triangle, which was followed by a tea dance at the village hall.

Children enjoyed sports at the school on Saturday, as well as a pet show on the village green. The festivities culminated with a street party at the village hall on Sunday
