Teesdale musicians to stream live gig for charity

TURN on, tune in and help out. That’s the message from musical lockdown fundraisers who pulled in more than £12,000 for the NHS during lockdown with a hugely successful live-streamed concert.

Musicians Dave Kidd, James Brown, Ian Swinburn, Andy Yeadon and Luke Jordan and DJ Craig Campbell, streamed live sets from their living rooms in what they called BC Lockdown and Loaded in April.
The friends set out to raise £1,000 for the NHS, but such was the popularity and generosity of those tuned in, a staggering £12,000 was netted from the event.
They have now organised another online concert to raise people’s spirits and some cash for the TCR Hub.
Barnard Castle Locked Down and Loaded – The Christmas Party will be streamed live on Facebook from 8pm on Saturday, December 19.
Mr Brown said: “We got together at the weekend and decided to put another event on and thought it was the perfect opportunity to raise money for something local, the TCR Hub.
“We’ve all used the Hub’s facilities including the studio and they have been flat out this year putting together care packages.
“We just want to do something to raise spirits for everyone.
“It should be a fun night and there will be a number of festive hits throughout the night.
“We have set ourselves a target of raising £500 and if we can hit that on the night it would be great. If it goes like last time, even better.”
