They have all taken part in a practice and assessed expedition, remaining self sufficient for two days at a time.

They have also completed other challenges, such as working as young leaders within younger sections of the Scouting movement as part of their volunteering section.

They have all completed various activities for their skill and physical sections, including navigation training and boxing.

Ben, Harry and Alfie are all moving onto the next stage and have signed up for their silver awards.

All members of Staindrop Explorers are involved in various sections of the award scheme, which runs along side the Scout Award Scheme. Anyone is welcome to join the unit either as an Explorer Scout (age 14 – 18).

We are also recruiting, looking for extra leaders and helpers. If you are interested in helping out email 1ststaindropscouts@gmail. com
