Scientists say thanks for raising £75k

GRATEFUL TEAM: Steve Wedge

SCIENTISTS researching ways to beat cancer have said a personal thank you to Teesdale fundraisers who donated £75,000.
Last month, the Teesdale branch of Cancer Research handed over £75,000 to the charity. The money, which was raised more than the past year, is going directly to Cancer Research UK’s Newcastle Drug Discovery Unit at Newcastle University.
Steve Wedge, professor of Stratified Cancer Medicine Discovery at the unit, described it as ” another incredible achievement” . He said: “We are so grateful for everything that you have done and continue to do for Cancer Research UK.”
