IT was another successful day for Barnard Castle and Teesdale Riding Club who attended the BRC Area 2 Grassroots Dressage last month.
Junior members took top honours again with the Junior Pink Team (Freddie Nicholson, Sophie Bowes, Scarlett Aitchison and Ruby Sheridan) winning first place; the Junior Red Team (Emily Barningham, Lia Broomfield and Aaliyah Emmerson) taking second place and the Junior Purple Team (Mia Boustead, Hannah Straughan, Amelia Dickinson and Sammy Morgan) coming fourth.
The Senior Purple Team (Bronagh Daly, Amanda McLuckie and Annie Robinson) also came fourth in the senior class.
Individually for the juniors it was a win for Sophie Bowes in the Intro B, second was Hannah Straughan, and third Lia Broomfield.
In the Junior Intro A qualifier, Hannah Straughan came second, Sophie Bowes third, Lia Broomfield fourth, Amelia Dickinson fifth and Ruby Sheridan sixth.
Juniors then went on and had a win in the Prelim 7 for Scarlett Aitchison. Second was Aaliyah Emmerson, Emily Barningham third, Mia Boustead fifth and Ameila Dickinson sixth.
In Prelim 12 for the juniors Ruby Sheridan came second and Sammy Morgan fourth
For the seniors in the Intro A qualifier it was a win for Kelly Clack, Bronagh Daly was third and Lezley Aldrich equal fourth with Amanda McLuckie.
In the Intro B Amanda McLuckie came sixth and in the Prelim 12 Annie Robinson was third.
It was a fantastic result for the club – huge well done to everyone who competed.
