Residents enjoy visit from miniature horse

ANIMAL MAGIC: Eva Taylor looks on as Katy Smith

FRESH from an exciting helicopter flight last month, residents of Charles Dickens Lodge enjoyed a visit from a very unusual guest – an American miniature horse.

Eight-year-old miniature pony Monet enjoyed being petted by each of the residents while handler Katy Smith, of KL Pony Therapy, explained more about the interesting animal.

Charles Dickens Lodge, which is part of the Hanover Housing group, also invited residents from neighbouring Beaconsfield Court to enjoy the day. Manager Julie Fawcett said residents from both facilities had made new friendships through the weekly bingo sessions, also hosted by Charles Dickens Lodge.
