Pyjama party for Children in Need

PARTY TIME: Key stage 2 children from Cotherstone

CHILDREN from Cotherstone Primary School donned onesies and pyjamas to raise cash for Children in Need.
Teacher Richard Batchelor said the children annually have a dress-up day in support of the BBC charity.
Eight-year-old pupil Henry Butler was thrilled to take part. He said: “It is really important because some children don’t have what we have. They are disabled and need help. It makes me feel happy to help them because we are supporting them. It is really good to do stuff like this.”
Chairman of the school council, eight-year-old Charlie Whitburn added: “I feel quite good about supporting children who are in need.”
Fellow council member Isolina Wiffen, who is ten, added: “It is really important to give children in poverty or who need support all the help they can get.”
