Pupils spread cheer to care home residents

CHILDREN at Montalbo Nursery and Primary School have been busy designing and making Christmas cards to send to the care homes in Barnard Castle. 

Morrisons community champion Gillian Robinson co-ordinated the project.

Emma Leonard, year one teacher, said: “We have been focusing this half term on ‘giving’ as part of our discussions on wellbeing and the children were pleased to be able to give these Christmas cards to care home residents.”
