Pupils celebrate the genius of Roald Dahl

FUN WHILE LEARNING: Pupils dressed up as their favourite Roald Dahl characters for what would have been the author's birthday TM pic

EARLY years pupils at Ingleton Primary School celebrated what would have been author Roald Dahl’s birthday by dressing up as some of his most loved characters and taking part in activities related to his BFG book.

Teachers and the children creating their own concoctions using pop and making items out of play dough. They also made dreamcatcher jars.

Elsewhere, the school’s class two went back to mesolithic times and learned how to make stone age porridge, light campfires and build shelters. They also cooked fish over the fires they made. The school has now started a parent and toddler community group and are inviting mums and dads to join them for activities each Friday. The event runs from 9.15am to 10.30am and a £1 donation includes a snack.
