Probe into blaze at Teesdale transport firm

BLAZE: HGVs on fire at John Dickinson Transport

A JOINT investigation involving police and fire officers is due to get under way today following a huge blaze at a Teesdale haulage company.

County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident, at the premises of John Dickinson Transport, at Winston.

Crews from Barnard Castle and Darlington were called out in the early hours of this morning (Monday).

At least three HGVs were destroyed in the blaze, which was tackled using two hose reels and a foam jet.

A fire service spokesman confirmed a joint investigation will begin later today.

John Dickinson Transport did not wish to comment on the incident at this stage.
