EIGHT village gardens will be open to the public as part of a fundraising event in Eggleston on Sunday, July 14.
Organisers are hoping the event, which has been arranged to raise funds for the village’s Holy Trinity Church roof appeal, will attract many visitors.
Each of the gardens is different, including one with a natural stream and woodland and one which has many unusual statues.
In addition, visitors will also be encouraged to participate in a water colour workshop, led by artist Anne Mason. The workshops are for all, from beginners to advanced. Paint and equipment will be provided on the day and will take place in the churchyard.
Visitors will also be able to marvel at an exhibition of paintings by local artists on show in the village hall plus a display of Eggleston’s history through the ages.
Refreshments will also be served during the afternoon at the village hall.
The event, Eggleston landscapes and sacred places, is on Sunday, July 14, from 12.30pm until 5pm.
