CHILDREN from an Evenwood nursery school brought some festive cheer to elderly last week.

The children from Eden House Nursery sang songs and played games as part of a string of activities taking place at Lyon’s Court care home over December.

Activities co-ordinator for the care home Judith Buckle said: “It is wonderful to see the children and residents interacting. We find how people with dementia brighten up a lot with the children. It is amazing what the children do.”
