Middleton-in-Teesdale children show why they are such good sports

PRIZE SESSION: Josh Ridley and nursery teachers presented children with certificates after completing their ten-week course

CHILDREN at Middleton-in-Teesdale Nursery School have improved their physical skills and co-ordination through a unique PE course.
Over ten weeks Durham County Council physical activities co-ordinator Josh Ridley has been visiting the children and putting them through their paces.
The scheme is called Ready, Sett, Go!
Mr Ridley said: “It improves their hand-eye co-ordination, balance and all the things they need for their day-to-day activities.”
Activities include jumping over and around cones without bumping into each other and a particular favourite were games centred around a large parachute.
Children were last week presented with a sticker and a certificate as the completed the course.
However, children will be able to continue with their PE sessions thanks to new kit Mr Ridley has given them.
