Finalists for the competition were encouraged to raise funds for charity and points were awarded for a variety of elements including most photogenic, sportswoman, congeniality and Miss Catwalk with a cause award.

The newly crowned beauty queen, who is studying for a childcare degree at Teesside University, raised more than £2,900 for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice and MFC Foundation -“‚the two charities supported by the pageant - with a number of fundraising activities over the past five months.

As winner of the pageant Miss Daniels is automatically entered into another prestigious competition, Supermodel England 2018.

Miss Daniels added: “It’s all really exciting – I’m really chuffed.”
