Joan and Jean are school’s special guests

A LOLLIPOP lady and a former staff member with eight decades of service between them were stars of Copeland Road Primary School’s 90th birthday celebration.

Joan Howard, who served as a lollipop lady for nearly 40 years, and Jean Robinson who served as a staff member and governor for a similar length of time, were honoured guests during an event at the school on Monday, December 2.

Headteacher Lindsey Kidd said: “The school celebrated its 90th birthday with cake, balloons and the school choir. Everyone had a fantastic afternoon reminiscing about their time at Copeland Road.”
