AN upper dale child care nursery celebrated its 20th anniversary with a sponsored Halloween walk.
Children, parents and staff of Dawn Till Dusk put on fancy dress costumes for their walk through Middleton-in-Teesdale on Wednesday last week.
The group travelled from their base at the primary school along the high street up to St Mary’s Church where they searched for conkers in the churchyard.
They then made their way to Wesley Terrace play area where they enjoyed hot chocolate and various Halloween Treats.
The childcare facility came under new management last year and significant renovations have been undertaken and cash raised on the day will go towards more improvements.
Nursery manager Lucy Grieves said: “We’ve raised over £200 already. Because we are a registered charity all the money will go towards the nursery.”
